After spending some time in Bear Lake, we all traveled to Provo for the weekend. Phil was going to fly out Sunday for his Alaskan Fishing Adventure! =) Phil had been dreaming about going on this trip for a few years and he was thrilled when Uncle Roy invited him, Pop Pop and Steve along. It was kind of big deal too because it would mean that he would not be able to work at all, which would be the very first time he would take a day off work in a few years. From everything I heard, it sounds like they had the best time! Sea sickness wasn't too bad, only lasted a day and then Phil had his sea legs. They caught tons of halibut and a few other crazy creatures from the deep!
The kids and I stayed a few extra days in Provo to help with wedding preparations. It was a fun few days without the men around, just busily working on getting things ready for Beth's big day! It was strange not seeing Phil for a week, but I was so happy that he was able to have some guy time. I was also thrilled will all the halibut that he brought back. We have been enjoying amazing fish tacos ever since!
