Yellowstone

You would think because we live to close to Yellowstone, that we go there often! We don't. Maybe we should, but Phil and I both don't love the crowds, which is why we waiting until October to take the kids. Brewer had never been before and the last time we went Boyd was 3. So it was time!! We made a good day out of it and the kids did really well with all the driving. We didn't do too much hiking or exploring, but we did hit up some of our favorite spots as well as Mammoth, which we have never been to before! It was all awesome. I think Mammoth was my favorite and I can't wait to go back when we're a little more mobile and have a little more time! Maybe next spring we'll go back and see if we can catch the new wildlife that is born in the Spring. But the bottom line is that I love Yellowstone, I'm kind of a nerd and love science, I love animals, geology, all the geothermal features and of course the beauty! I think Boyd is the most like me in that sense and he was the most fascinated at every stop. Lola loved just being able to get out of the car and walk around. Brew seemed pretty impressed with some of the hot pots and geysers but could care less about the animals! So funny how everyone has their own interests and passions!
