In July our family headed down (we flew thank goodness) to Utah for Nate and Oakley's wedding. It's always great being reacquainted with family, but especially fun for occasions like these. I was able to help with some wedding prep Monday night and all day Tuesday. The kids had a blast playing and were quite thrilled when they learned that they were going to be able to attend the wedding luncheon. I was even more happy when I learned that Grandma and Beth had found babysitters for Lola. The sealing was nice, Grandpa Monson was the sealer, and afterwards the kids had a blast "exploring" the temple grounds. Lola was a trooper and managed to stay happy and awake the whole time. The luncheon was lovely and thank goodness it was air conditioned. Mom did a beautiful job of putting it together. After the luncheon we helped Oakley's family a bit set up the reception, helped mom with the cake, and spent some time with the kids and all the family. The reception was fun, being able to see so much of Phil's family and friends was the highlight. The photo-bus was also fun, especially for the kids! I need to scan in the pictures that Boyd took by himself, they're pretty hilarious. The kids also loved the soft serve ice with limited toppings and Brewer and Lola was just thrilled to have the cones. All in all the day was beautiful and filled with lots of love, the best kinds of days for weddings.
