Swimming

We have done A LOT of swimming while we have been in Oregon. Seeing as we got so lucky to have a pool in our backyard, we have taken every chance, every mostly sunny day to swim. It's been heaven all around because everyone loves it. I have always loved the pool, not just laying out, but being in and under the water. My kids are developing that same love. Boyd has showed tremendous improvement in his swimming lessons this year. He's a great little swimmer now. His swim instructor, Hannah, or Hannah Banana as the kids would call her, was so great and said that he would do well or excel on a swim team. Maybe something to look in to!! Brewer has surprised us all with the kind of swimming he can do. We have always known that Brewer loves swimming, it's one of his favorite things, but I would have never imagined that he would be doing arm strokes. I also would have never imagined how long the kid can hold his breath. It is impressive. He loves the water more than anyone and once he builds up a bit more endurance will become quite the little fish. The pool has been a great enjoyment or distraction for Lola too! She loves being in the water. Her favorite spot is either playing with the fountains or sitting on the step. On the step she either pivots around on her bum or she stands up and then dives head first into the water. She never comes up sputtering or coughing, just ready to do it over and over. We have been so grateful for the opportunity to use the pool so often.
