The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Christmas seemed extra special this year with Riggs being 2! He was involved and excited about the Christmas magic. We also had a couple of guests, which was the highlight of the whole week, Beth and Brennen. When Phil and I were first married, we spent kidless Christmas with our nieces and nephews in Oregon, watching them soak in all the Christmas magic. Now it was our turn to share out kids with Beth and Brennen, the roles had been reversed and we loved every minute! Nate, Oakley and Ridge came up Christmas Day evening, which was another added bonus!

I wish I would have written about this sooner to capture all of our adventures and fun, but here are some of the highlights: skiing with the kids, Lola hitting her first box, skiing as adults, baking and decorating sugar cookies, first time making "legit" tante gabi cookies with the actual dough machine, Christmas Even pajamas, It's a Wonderful Life, cookies for Santa, donut snowmen, Christmas Eve appetizer palooza, Christmas morning rice cereal at Grandma Greats, new ornaments for the kids from both Mom and Dad and Beth and Brennen, a beautiful nativity ornament made by Beth, lego building, Phil's bomb prime rib, sleigh rides and spud nuts and snow machining, The Weakest Link, playing 13 and having so many great conversations about life!
