After Boyd got the priesthood, everything aligned to be able to go to the temple with him for the first time. He was excited and it was fun to all get ready to go together. We also went with the Struttmann's who were taking Emrie for the first time as well. So cool that they could do that together!! They've grown up together and our families have grown up together, so it was really great to share that experience. Before we went to the temple we grabbed some dinner at the Mongolian place. It was so yummy and fun experience to share with Boyd for the first time. Boyd loved it and it was neat to watch the dad's baptize their kiddos for someone else. It was also really special feeling the spirits of those who have maybe waited for so long to have their work done, I could tell it made an impact on the kids. After the temple, we hit up Freddie's for some ice cream and french fries to wrap up the night.
Since then, Boyd's been back to the temple with the youth group, which I think he liked even better because they went to Pizza Pie Cafe afterwards where he ate his heart out on the buffet. It's crazy how much boys that age can eat!! I was just glad that he wasn't sick for the car ride home.
