Eight really is great!! This year we were scheduled to be out of town on Brewer's birthday, so we celebrated early. He got a snow machine for his birthday, a little phaser that was a perfect size for him. He was so excited and got right to zipping around with his Craig. We also didn't have a ton of time for a cake, so Brewer opted for a donut cake and it was perfect even though it had pink and red sprinkles for Valentine's Day. Brewer is a stud and we love him so much. A small part of me was sad that we wouldn't be around on his actual birthday because he is just pure joy. He loves all things with motors and wheels, especially snow machines and dirt bikes. His laugh is infectious and he loves to snuggle. For the most part, he sets his mind to get something done and busts it out. When he plays hard in the day, he gets worn out and tired in the evening, but it's been a lot of fun to watch him enjoy so much of life. That's been one thing he's really taught me, is to enjoy! Whatever you're doing, have fun doing it. He's also really compassionate and really thoughtful--he thinks of others and he thinks things through. I can't wait to see where the future takes this kid!!
