I'm going to pretend that it's still February and go ahead and write the post about when JaNea came to Driggs! It was such a special treat for me to be able to have her here, in my town and in my house!! And most of all it was special to share Riggs with her! Unfortunately I had to share more of my time with her with my kids since we have a few days of no school. Now I can't remember if we had no school due to cold weather or germs, but we definitely had school canceled for both of those reasons this year. Who has ever heard of school being canceled for germs? Not me, at least not until this year. It was a rough germ year, yikes!
Phil picked her up late on evening and by the time they came back home all the kids were asleep. In the morning, Lola laid outside of her bedroom door for quite a while, patiently waiting until she woke up. In fact, I took a picture of Lola waiting and posted it to our family chat, JaNea saw that picture before she was out of bed and had Lola come in a snuggle her for a bit! She was over the moon!
We didn't do too much while JaNea was here. She helped with laundry, played games with the kids and snuggled Riggs. She even kept him and fed him a few times so Phil and I could get out of the house. The kids did a lot of sledding over in the rock pit and Phil even convinced me to ride his timbersled. Ha! It was fun but I was not a natural. Of course we all went out one evening, even with Riggs, to the Brakeman because we love sharing the gems in our little valley with our friends. The time passed by way too fast as always, but it was so wonderful to have her here!
Excellente! Perfecto!
