Desert Cove at Dixie Springs ~ Spring Break

The stars aligned with our Oregon family as our spring break lined up! The Neff's, Grandma & Grandpa Thelin as well as Max all traveled the many hours, everyone splitting up the time in different way. We all met up in Hurricane, UT and stayed at the new rental that Phil and Steve bought as an investment. It was the first time that I had been there and the weather could not have been better while we were there. Besides spending time with family, I just enjoyed feeling the warm sun on my skin, it was rejuvenating! We did plenty of playing outside in the back at the pool, but we also ventured out. Some of the highlights were the driving range, multiple rounds of golf, the shooting range, mountain biking and hiking around Pioneer Park and The Crack and for the 10 year olds, the Game of Life.
Of course everyone loved baby Riggs. He was a bright spot as he always is and was such a good little baby, being easy going wherever we went. Most days he slept in til 9 or so, which meant I slept in til then too, which was amazing and a true vacation! One day he spent a few hours with Aunt JaNea so I could go mountain bike with Phil, Boyd, Brew, Gabe and Max. We did Bear Claw Poppy and Brewer did so great! Gabe and Max did really well too, seeing as they haven't done much before. We all had such a great time together and it was such a treat for me to get away for a little while! Of course, props to Phil who is such a great teacher and so fun to ride with! Max and Phil even went for another ride the next day on the Jem trail.
It was such a treat to be all together and I love how the cousins just pick up their friendships right where they left off. Lola was in heaven with Charlotte and Lucy and loved being able to be social and big. They were so sweet to her, she had the time of her life! She also caught some attention from Max and Gabe, who let Lola play "hair" with them as well as other games. She even acquired a new nickname from Max of "lolita," Little Lola. So cute.
Sometimes people say when you've been gone from home there comes a point when you want to go home. That never happened on this trip. I could have stayed for much longer, but I guess that just makes it even more exciting to go back again! And now we get to look forward to our Thelin trip to Sunriver in July!!
