Celebrating Phil is always a joy! We love him and love to try our best to spoil him. This year we went up to Alta and everyone was able to hit some balls and play around on the putting green. Phil is always so good to help the kids and teach them, which makes them love the hobbies he loves. Even Lola had a blast putting around on the green. After we snagged some dinner, we headed back home to sing happy birthday, have scotcheroo's, and open presents. All of the kids picked special things that they thought Phil would like from the store. They even paid for them with their own money, except Lola and except for the package of golf balls that Brewer swiped from the garage. It made it extra special watching Phil open his presents and watching the kids light up from the act of giving. Lola was especially excited about the Nerds she picked out and when Phil shook the wrapped box, she yelled out "nerds!", which made us all laugh.
