Boyd's First Raft Trip

Back in mid-June our ward went rafting for an activity. The water was still high and one of our good friends run a rafting outfit over there. He was confident it would safe for 10 and up and so we were thrilled to be able to bring Boyd. It was easy to tell that he was so excited, but also a little nervous. Maybe he gets that from his Mom? Thankfully we were all able to suit-up because the water was really cold, but the trip was a lot of fun! Most of the little kids sat in the middle of the raft and just held on through the rapids. It was great to be able to share that experience with Boyd and go with him for his first time on the river. Some of the rapids were almost nonexistent because of the high water levels, like lunch counter. But Big Kahuna was unexpectedly thrilling as we crashed into a giant wall of water. Champagne was also more fun than normal with the high water levels. At the end we were all a little cold and happy to change into dry clothes and to wrap up the night we headed in to Jackson and grabbed some dinner. It was a fun a day for all of us and especially fun for us to have some one-on-one time with Boyd.
