Ike & Emma!!

The end of July we were so lucky to have our friends, Ike and Emma, come up from Utah and stay with us for the weekend!! While we squeezed quite a few things in, it was still very relaxing and very fun! Friday night we enjoyed a little Teton Thai and the movie 42. Saturday afternoon we headed over to Jackson, without kids, and spent some time at the square, hitting up the candy shop and having some fun with some of the taxidermy. We also headed over the Moulton barn before we made it to our final stop at Bar J for their dinner and entertainment. It was great to be able to enjoy time without the distraction of kids. Sunday morning we drove up to Targhee and took the lift to the top to enjoy my favorite part of this valley, the beautiful and awe inspiring nature. Just before Ike and Emma had to go home, Emma shared with us a new, more high class version of the s'more: Chessman shortbread cookies, Ghirardelli chocolate squares and marshmallows. If you have never tried that combination before, you should probably go to the grocery store right now and make that happen. They are so good and I may never go back, which is saying a lot if you know my relationship to s'mores. We were sad to see them go, but so happy for the friendship we have. It really is beautiful to me to see how we were brought together through Brewer, she was an angel sent to me dressed in nurses scrubs. Hopefully we get another fun weekend with them before too long!
