Phil and I were thrilled to hear that Beth choose to fly up to Oregon as her birthday present. It was especially fun because it ended up being over Phil's birthday. Beth is the best girl, sister and aunt. She's such a joy to be around and so much fun, which made her visit so enjoyable. The day she flew in we went to the zoo and even Phil came! It was a lot of fun and everyone was just happy to be together!
We swam almost every day while Beth was here, watched movies, three Harry Potter movies, and stayed up way too late. But it was worth it! On the morning of Phil's birthday we went down town and waited in the line for Voo-Doo Donuts and another day we took the tram up to OHSU to se the view. Towards the end of her stay we ventured out to the beach, stopping at the Tillamook Cheese Factory for the tour and ice cream. Sadly, the weather ended up being really cold at the beach. But we hopped out to play for 20 minutes and even poked our toes (and Lola's) in the Pacific Ocean. The week zoomed by and at the end we were hoping her flight would be cancelled or that she would just decide to move in. We love Beth and we were so grateful she came for a visit!
