While Phil was in Chicago he was able to do a lot of fun things with Amy, Clark, and Andrew. They are all food conesseuiors so the highlight of the trip was probably traveling around town to different restaurants. They were able to try a lot of different things as they all shared the different things they ordered. Unfortunately, Phil caught a little stomach bug and was sick most of the trip, but that didn't stop him from trying all sorts of yummy food. Frontera, a mexican restaurant, and Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian churrascaria were Phil's two favorites.

One of the other, maybe more unique highlights of the trip (food wise) was going to The Purple Pig. It is one of the highest rated restaurants in Chicago and almost everything on the menu is pork. One thing that they tried were bone marrow with herbs and garlic toast. Another interesting item was fried pigs ear, with crispy kale and an egg sunny side up. The beat and goat cheese salad was also a favorite.

Saturday was packed with game day events and of course the big game, and very disappointing game. Everyone headed to South Bend early in the morning and spent the remainder of the morning on campus.
