This past weekend we headed down to Provo to say goodbye to Phil's little brother, Nate. He enters the MTC this Wednesday the 25th and he'll be there for about 9 weeks learning Spanish and preparing to serve his mission in San Bernardino, CA. We were excited to go down and get to see him one last time. We love Nate and while we are so excited for him to go on his mission, we will miss him having him around!
Boyd didn't get to see Nate until Saturday morning. We sent Boyd upstairs to Nate's room to wake him up and it was pretty cute. Boyd climbed into his bed and snuggled for a few minutes. Then they played video games and ping pong together. Boyd loves Uncle Nate. When we were down in Utah just before Christmas Nate came along with us to run some errands. Nate pretty much just pushed Boyd around and played with him while Phil and I shopped. In the car Boyd was admiring Nate's big hands and asked if when he grows big if he'll have big hands like Uncle Nate. We told him he would. Then he asked if when he grew big if he could go on a mission like Uncle Nate. We told him yes. It melts my heart a bit. Boyd's now old enough to start to understand the mission thing and to start to have grown ups that he can look up to. We are so glad Boyd looks up to Nate. He's a great example to Boyd!
Saturday night Phil's brothers and some of their friends were able to play a last game of basketball together. It sounded like they all had a good time and I'm sure they'll miss having Nate around to play with them over the next couple of years.
Sunday we all got ready for Nate's farewell and lunch. Nate did such a great job! He's a natural a speaking and gave a great talk and testimony. We were all really impressed!
Some last pictures (for a while anyway) with Uncle Bug!
We almost had the whole family together that day! We were all missing Amy, Clark, and Emmett in South Carolina! And now it will be awhile before we're all together again!
So I didn't have any shoes on because they are so tall. I figured I would be okay because I could stand in the back....but that didn't happen. So forgive my super special look--33 weeks and barefoot, yikes!
It was SO bittersweet saying goodbye to Nate. We are so excited for him, but we'll miss him like crazy! He's going to be an amazing missionary and we can't wait to hear all his mission stories!

How fun to see the family all together but how SAD that we aren't in it! I thought about you all a lot yesterday and am glad it all went well. Bug will be a great missionary. You are looking super fabulous at 33 weeks--hardly even looking pregnant!
Love you all. See you soon!
San Bernardino is right next to us! Our mission is actually the Arcadia but we are on the border of the S.B county line. Crazy!! I'll keep my eyes open for him. The people are so great here, he will love it!
oh and haha, I love the picture. I actually scrolled down to your thighs and thought I'm surprised she's not wearing boots... then I got to your feet and thought, I bet she has an explanation, and then of course you did!! so funny!
"barefoot and pregnant" how quaint:) Always a little strange to see you standing in another family's group shot;) You are a lucky girl to be part of the Moulton Clan! Great that Boyd has so many uncles to look up to! Elder Moulton will be a great missionary!
