Granite Hot Springs

Toward the end of January we were invited on a couple different snow mobile adventures. We did not own snow mobiles, so we weighed our options of renting one and Phil of course started some research and looking in to buying a used one. The last option won out, due to snow moiling being a really great activity that all the family can enjoy. We are really looking forward to taking our family out to explore the winter wonderland we live in each year.
The first adventure we went on, was to Granite Hot Springs. 7 or 8 families met up in Jackson Hole, bundled up, unloaded, loaded the kids in sleds and drove 8 more miles on snow mobiles to Granite Hot Springs. The ride was incredibly beautiful and we were lucky enough to see some people traveling by dog sled. That may have been the highlight for Lola. Boyd and Brewer road behind in a sled, facing forward and were blasted by snow. We kept telling them to turn around but Brewer was having a ball and when we got there stubborn Boyd was a frozen mess. Good thing we were headed up to some warm water. The changing situation was a little sketchy/cramped, but we all managed and were swimming in the warm water in no time! I think the kids could have stayed for much longer. But after an hour and a half or so, when it got too busy, we changed back in to clothes (even harder) and then picnicked with the rest of the group before we hopped back on the snowmobiles and headed back. Boyd shared a snowmobile with Kalia Moncur for a bit and then hopped on with Devin for the rest. Brewer road with Deegan, which seemed like a good idea, but this time he was the one in tears at the end of the ride. I think he had to use all his strength for the whole ride, not to get bounced off the back and it was more than he wanted to handle!! Lola snoozed almost immediately and I just got to enjoy the scenery again as Phil drove. Despite the two little crying episodes, we would definitely go back! We had such a great time, met new people and had a blast with new and old friends!
