This year our Fourth of July looked a little different. We usually celebrate in Driggs with all our friends and with the extended Moulton Family, but we were in Oregon!
We actually temporarily moved to Oregon!! It was a crazy decision, but one we put a lot of thought and prayer into. Keeping our home in Driggs, we packed up our clothes and our camping gear and headed out. I left in the early morning hours with Boyd and Lola, leaving around 4:30 AM. The drive went really good and Lola did amazing, not crying once. It took a LONG time as we stopped a few times to eat and get Lola out of her carseat. But I can't complain because everyone was happy. Phil left in the afternoon that same day with Brewer and made great time getting in around midnight.
So the 4th was spent with family in Oregon. We went to a little parade in JaNea's old neighborhood and it was perfect. No fighting traffic and it was easy to find a place to sit. The kids really love anything, so it was great! Phil smoked ribs that were really good and Justin and Ashley hosted a party in their backyard for family and close friends, plus the missionaries. It was a lot of fun and of course my kids loved swimming in the pool! In the evening the uncles put on a big firework show in Justin's backyard, which completed all the 4th or July requirements: remembering our country with family and friends, good food and fireworks!!
