Brewer & His Pedal Bike

     At the end of April, Brewer learned how to ride a pedal bike!!! Phil did a lot of research and found a bike that was smaller than the 16" bikes that are way too big, but better than the 12" inch bikes that make you have to pedal at the pace of Fred Flintstone to keep up. The day it arrived, Brewer hopped on it and took off. There was a bit of a learning curve will the actual pedal motion, to keep them going around in the same direction and not backwards, but he had no issues with balance. It was a great day and watching how excited and proud he was of himself was a moment that we will never forget. Considering everything Brewer has gone through, riding a bike should be difficult and challenging for him. There's a lot of coordination and body control involved. But once again, Brewer Lionheart has proved the medical world wrong! He is a determined little boy with a huge heart and huge expectations from life. We couldn't love him any more!
