About a month ago Phil got Boyd this little Strider bike. Boyd loves it and so do I! It gives him something to do outside and he thinks he's a pretty big boy. After about a week or week and a half of having it, Boyd started picking up his feet and balancing on it. We were shocked that he was already learning how to balance. There are a couple of homes on our street that are unoccupied and they have great driveways for him to go down. They are fairly long and have a perfect slope for him to be able to go down picking his feet up the whole time!! We love the Strider bike and will never be getting our kids bikes with training wheels! Just yesterday we were at Phil's shop and Boyd was riding his bike around. I was watching him and saw him ride (with his feet up) right off the sidewalk into the road. He had no problem keeping his balance off the bump (it was not a full curb--it was on the smaller side). It's so fun to watch him and he just glows when he can tell how proud we are of him!

Way to go, Boyd!!!! He is really doing so great! Nate and I were very impressed. Nate has said that as soon as we have a house we are getting one of those, too. Glad to see that they really work!
