Play Group

Boyd and I have been enjoying a lot of time with our play group. We've done a lot of fun things together. Each Wednesday we meet at one of the two parks here in Driggs and hang out for a couple of hours. It's great for the kids to be able to play and the moms to be able to get some adult time/conversation. I look forward to it every week!!

A couple weekends ago Boyd and I signed up to the Tin Cup 5K Fun Run! And it was so much fun! I met up with some of the ladies from play group and their kids and we all had a great time together!! Next year I think Phil and I will actually do some of the races!! They do the fun run, 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. Maybe if I'm brave I can attempt the 10K. I hope one day that if I just keep running that I'll learn to actually like it. So I'll give it another year--until the next Tin Cup Race.

Boyd and I got matching shirts. As you can see it has the Tetons on it and so Boyd calls it his "mountain shirt." =) 

Last week some of the girls from play group ventured out to Rexburg for a day at the new pool. It was great!! Boyd loved it and it was perfect for his age. The majority of the area is shallow enough that he can maintain it on his own. They also have a lazy river. When you go through it you float by a moose and a bear and go through a tunnel, all of which spray you with water. For some reason Boyd didn't like the moose and every time we started to get near it he would tell me "Don't like that moose, don't like that moose." It's probably because it's giant and sprayed us. But overall he really liked it and I loved that I got to snuggle with him on the tube!!

The pool has a rock wall and I had to post this picture as proof that I made it to the top. For most people this probably isn't a big deal, but I've never climbed a rock wall and with slippery hands and feet I was impressed with myself!!

I'm so glad that there are so many great women in our playgroup! We have such a great time together!!
