Sun Valley 2010
Going to Sun Valley is one of our favorite vacations. It's such a fun vacation filled with great winter activities and family. All of Phil's family, including Amy & Clark and Grandma & Grandpa Monson were able to be there. Some of the fun things every one did this year were: downhill skiing and snowboarding, cross country skiing, bowling, swimming (in a giant hot tub), playing games and watching the olympics & NBA all-star game.
Friday every one had a day of skiing and it was a ton of fun. Then that night I got sick. =( It was so depressing. I'm still not entirely sure what it was, but to spare the details let's just say I was in my bedroom almost the entire time. I only came out on Valentine's to play the newly-wed game, which Phil and I were not so great at but it was very funny and entertaining.
Phil did a great job of taking care of me and thankfully there were a lot of helpers when it came to Boyd's needs. He was such a trooper and had so much fun with the family and all of the new things he was able to do.
Because I was sick I didn't take too many pictures. Luckily with the few I took and Amy we were able to get a few good shots.
Friday. Almost the whole gang here. Clark hadn't arrived yet, due to a ridiculous airline and Mom was taking the picture. Mom, Beth, Boyd, and I had walked down our street to see if we could catch the fam.

Friday night games. We played a game called Buzz Word. It's a great game and correct me if I'm wrong but the girls won every time.
After bowling. Classic picture in front of the Sun Valley sun.
Boyd thought riding on the motorcycle was pretty fun.
Boyd loved bowling. Phil let him push one down the alley...
...which he loved and then started chasing after it.
With Aunt Amy. He loved Amy, but not so much Clark. Phil would have Boyd give Clark a pat on the leg or something and as soon as he did that he ran back to Phil and hid behind his leg.

jerai, i'm so sorry you got sick during your vacation! what rotten luck. but your pictures are great, and boyds hair is getting so thick--what a cutie!! lets talk soon. :)
We were all so sad to find out you got sick on your fun vacation. What a bummer!! At least it happened at a time when there were people to take care of Boyd- it could have been bad if Phil was working all day and you were sick, taking care of a toddler all day by yourself. Or maybe it totally sucked to be sick on vacation. Looks like everyone (else) had a good time though!
how fun! so sorry you were sick! That's the worst, to be sick on vacation (but also nice for all the help!) Can't wait to see the other pictures. I can't believe how big Boyd is getting!!

that is such a great tradition! looks like fun every year! I can't believe how big Boyd is getting, and how darn much he looks like uncle Todd. Very cute little boy!
it really was a fun time, wasn't it? minus you getting sick and all the airline drama. we sure are missing you guys.

Oh no what a bummer, Jerai!! It always feels like getting sick never comes at the right time, doesn't it!?! I guess no time is really a good time to get sick. But I agree with everyone else, the pictures are great and it looks like it was a great vacation! What a fun tradition. I love that last picture of Boyd! He looks so grown up and adorable! What a cutie...I really need to see him again sometime soon. Love you!
