A New Year

After Christmas, Phil, Boyd, and I made a trip up to Portland. We were there for a week and as always, it was too short. The highlights of the trip include, Macie's baptism, seeing Henry, Lucy, and Charlotte (the tiny triplets), new year's, rice cereal (I got the almond!), and finally having everyone in my family meet Boyd!

I was so nervous to take Boyd on the airplane, but he was a champ both ways!

Seeing the triplets was amazing. Unfortunately, I got a cold before I was able to take a picture of me holding them. But the important thing is that I was able to hold them and help feed them a time or two. They are each a miracle and I love them so much!

While we were in Portland, we stayed with my brother Jeremy and his wife and kids, Kristin, Max (4), and Ike (16 months). We had so much fun staying with them and Boyd loved his cousin Max. As you can imagine, a 4 year old is very interested in a baby and he was a GREAT helper. Max is the sweetest little boy and says some funny things. My favorite thing that he would say and randomly I might add, was: Baby Boyd is so so handsome! Also, he kept commenting on how is was so cool that Baby Boyd wasn't in my tummy any more! Boyd and I sure miss having Max around to help us change diapers, give Boyd baths, and get Boyd dressed.

This was the first time that all the grandkids on my side were together, so we decided to try to take a picture with all of them together. This was probably one of the most stressful, hilarious, and loud moment of the trip. But after a few short minutes, we succeeded...well we figured what we had was good enough.

Stand Up!
This is Phil's new favorite trick to do with Boyd, however, he's not very good at it yet. He's still a little wobbily!

how fun! i'm so glad you got to visit home and see family. I can't believe how small those triplets are and that anyone could have 3 babies at once!! how amazing. Also, I love Phil's trick with Boyd- I remember Jeff doing that same thing with Tyler not too long ago!

I love the pictures! That picture is hilarious with all the kids. I like how Peyton and Boyd are both like laying on top of some small child, semi falling over! Hilarious! I bet that was quite the task to get them all sitting down at once. And how cute of Max to be saying how handsome Boyd is! He is so funny! Well, I don't blame him because Boyd is pretty handsome. He looks like a little superman standing on Phil's hand. I love it. I'm sad that I didn't take any pictures with you guys when we saw you up there. Oh well...it was fun to see you, even if it was for such a short time. Love you lots!

Wow look at all those cousins. They are so cute and so many babies. I guess with the triplets it is just an added baby boom.

I love your post! Nice surprise, I hadn't looked for a couple of days...Boyd is handsome:) He and Phil will be quite entertaining with the "stand up Boyd" trick, as grandma....I can't watch! We loved seeing you, it was too short...come back!

Yay for your visit to Oregon! When are you coming back? :) We loved having you here. I wish I would have gotten a video of us trying to take a picture of the grandkids. It was definitely a challenge. I also love how the kids holding our 3 and 6 month-old babies are 3 1/2 and 4. Suicidal! We miss you already.

Since I'm such a bad speller I had to delete the previous comment. I just wanted to say that my two sons, Eric and David did the same thing as Phil is doing with Boyd. Gotta tell ya that their kids survived!
