Girls Weekend in AZ

For my birthday Phil bought me a ticket to fly down to Mesa and spend the weekend with my cousins, Jess and Kristie! I was so excited!! It had been a long time since I had seen either of them and I was thrilled to spend a whole weekend by myself just hanging out with them. I flew down Thursday and that day consisted of dinner and getting my hair done. I definitely felt pampered.
Friday we headed out to the mall to do some shopping. It was wonderful! I've never been a big fan of shopping, but after living in Driggs, I think that may be starting to change. The mall was huge. By far the biggest I've ever been to. It had so many awesome stores, nothing you'll ever find around where we live. Plus it was awesome to be able to go into a store without Boyd and not feel rushed. I did find a few gems that's I'm really excited about, but it would have been just as much fun to just window shop. It was a really fun place!

The kids were amazing too!! They were so patient. Not to mention adorable.

Jess was telling me how there was a new kind of soda machine that involved a touch screen. It sounded awesome and I know we won't be seeing it in Driggs. So I decided I would take my one chance and try it out. I have to admit that I felt a little dumb having my picture taken to document the event, but let's be honest. For people like me who live in  small town, this is pretty cool.

I tried coke zero with orange. I wouldn't recommend it. So I settled for cherry instead. =)

Love these girls! They are my favorite! It makes me sad that we can't live closer together, but I guess it make the reunions so much more sweet!

Saturday we headed out early in the morning to Phoenix for Time Out for Women. It was awesome! We didn't have any kids with us and we were just uplifted! All the speakers were great and caused me to think about how I can become a better person, wife, and mother! It was wonderful!!

After TOFW Jess and I went to Costco. I'll never pass up the opportunity to go to Costco, even if I know I'm not going to buy anything. =) When we walked in I said, "I feel like I'm home." What is it about Costco that I love so much!? We grabbed a pizza and headed home to eat real quick before we met back up with Kristie and her family. We headed out to an outdoor shopping mall and grabbed some carmel apple cider. Yum! While getting our drink I got hit on (for the 3rd time during the trip). I told Phil he needed to buy me a bigger ring...but I was only joking. It must be the blonde hair.
I headed home Sunday. While I had an awesome time, I was excited to see Boyd and Phil. It's funny how much you miss your family, even if you're only gone for a short time! It was such a happy reunion at the airport! It was a great way to end my trip!!

Yes. Let's do Disneyland! That would be so fun. I love the pictures from the trip- that was a great birthday present on Phil's part. And you got hit on 3 times because you're a babe, not just because you had freshly-done hair. I still can't believe you're as far along as you are.
