New Years Eve was a fun night. During the day I unpacked and tried to get my house back in order from being gone. Then I prepared some food for the night and we headed up to the ski hill with our good friends the Struttmann's. Every new year's eve Targhee has latern skiing followed by fireworks that you can watch. We missed the skiing but the fireworks we pretty impressive. We were up there for probably a total of 10 minutes which was fine with me because it was like 5 degrees if I am remembering right.
It was pretty tricky to take a picture because not only did you have to deal with a two year old you also had to hold your breath. If you did happen to exhale, then there would be a cloud in front of your face. =) It was cold.
After the fireworks we all made the 10 minute drive back our house and the Wilson's met up with us a bit later. We ate way too much yummy food, but that was okay since our New Year's resolutions started the next day. We played the celebrity game and the guys dominated. We toasted to the New Year and stayed up WAY too late. But it was fun and definitely worth it.
The next day was Saturday so of course we all got together again, played the wii, and watched Inception. We are so glad that we have such good friends! We have so much fun with them! I've realized that, while we survived last winter, this winter has actually been great. We owe that to having awesome friends who are up for anything and are so laid back!!

that targhee things sounds fun. I'm glad you've found such good friends. But I'm not surprised, the wilson's is one of the nicest family's. and well Audrey's family is super great too! Hopefully we get to see her up here in a couple weeks when her parents report their mission.
What a fun New Year's celebration! I'm so glad that you have good friends up there and are enjoying this winter a little more! :) Congrats on getting Boyd into a big boy bed. Sounds like he had a perfect transition!
