Mom & Dad Meet Driggs

After all of the wedding festivities my Mom and Dad headed back up to Idaho with Boyd and I (Phil had left the day before to get back to work). It was so much fun to introduce them to where we have been living for the past 9 months. We got in late Wednesday night and just hung out for a bit before heading to bed. Tuesday we went drove around a bit, went down to the  shop to watch Phil install a windshield, went to the park and got a pizza. Friday was Phil's birthday and so most of the day was spent preparing, baking the cake, wrapping presents, ect. Phil and my dad built a birdhouse for Boyd and then went golfing in the afternoon. We planned to go out to dinner to The Cheeseburger Factory in Driggs and met the Wilson's there too. One our way we stopped at Grumpy's Goat Shack and saw the baby goat triplets. Boyd had a great time feeding and petting the goats and laughed every time one would eat the animal cracker out of his hand.

After dinner we headed back to our house to have cake and open presents. Jill made this same cake the week before for Todd's birthday and Phil liked it so much that he asked me to make it for his birthday.
The birthday boy!

"Happy Birthday"

After cake and presents we headed out to the fairgrounds for the rodeo. Even though it was pretty small Boyd thought it was great. He loved to be down in the dirt right or climbing up on the rails. However, I had to sit right next to him and pull him down off the rails when a horse would come charging past! But it was fun to be so close to the action!

Eating breakfast and showing Pop Pop the birds.

Saturday we headed out to Jackson and went to Mormon Row to see Phil's Great-Grandpa's house and barn. We were a little disappointed when we got there because there were buffalo everyone surrounding the buildings. But it was still beautiful and managed to snap a few good shots.

This was as close as we (or I) dared going.

The classic shot.

Then we went into town, had lunch at the little park, fed the ground squirrels, got ice cream, and walked around all the shops. Boyd chose to wear his cowboy boots (very handsome with his shorts) and Grandma bought him his very own cowboy hat! He was so cute!

We were so happy to have my parents come and stay with us for a few days. After they left Boyd was a little confused and kept asking for Pop Pop and Ma Ma. Luckily we'll be seeing them in Oregon in a few weeks!
