Not much is new with our little family. Each day is similar to the one before and I'm finding that because our routine is so solid I a) can get a lot more done in my day, and b) have to plan my outings at very specific times as to not interrupt naps. The good news is that Boyd usually takes a very long nap in the morning, which allows me to get some reading in, a good work out (now I'm REALLY glad that we bought that treadmill), showered and ready for the day, and lastly clean up around he house. It's really great and I will be sad when he stops taking a morning nap.
Phil's doing good. He's not much of a fan of school, but now that he's in more of his major classes I think it's been better. Generals were tough for him, mostly because he thought they were a waste of time and I can't say that I blame him. I have to say that I'm really proud of him though for sticking it out to get a degree. He has classes at 7 AM, which means he's been getting up around 6. If any one knows Phil, getting up early is not an ideal day. Good job sweetie, I love you for working so hard to get through school. It will feel so good when you're done!
Boyd is almost 5 months old, sheesh, where has the time gone, and he's as fun as ever. He still loves his jumper (thank goodness), and rolls from side to side. One day soon he'll roll over. I do have mixed feelings about that new step because he's not too fond of being on his tummy. While he used to be able to roll from front to back, he seems to have forgotten how to do that and just screams out of frustration, but I guess he'll just have to learn again. Yes, that's right: screams.
...and it's loud.
He's getting more coordinated with his hands and just recently has started reaching to grab our faces. It's really fun and cute (when his hands aren't soaking wet from drool). Every now and then we get a little laugh out of the guy, but not too often. The drooling has increased and Phil's Mom told us she saw a little tooth on it's way. Being a first time mother and youngest in my family, I attempted to look for whatever it was she saw, and failed. So I am just patiently waiting for it to pop through., which still could be weeks away.
The countdown for my parents to come continues: 40 days. It's so crazy to think that when they come Boyd will be 6 months old. Who knows what he'll be doing then.

Jerai I love the pictures! I feel like I haven't seen any for a while! Boyd is adorable! All of the sudden I think he looks so much like Phil...but who knows. What a cutie he is. I'm glad you've got some structure in your life. That sounds like a dream to have those morning hours to get those things done. I can only pray that I'll be that lucky :). Enjoy it while it lasts! Can't wait to see you next week!
o i really like those pictures!!! i miss you, and as soon as i stop being sick and contagious i will come visit you. i'm glad boyd's routine is so solid--and ho did i not realize you guys had a treadmill? thats really cool. love you!
look at you! that's a pretty good routine, my friend. i can't even seem to get myself on a routine, so i think this baby and i are toast.
i love boyd's little button nose. hope to see you soon!
love the update! I totally remember when Tyler was at that stage. I really liked that age. I figured out how to tell if their teeth are coming: rub your finger along the gum and it will feel rubbery in that one spot, not as slippery. Sometimes you will even feel a gap starting where the tooth is about to brake through. Poor little guy. I'm sure it hurts!
Made my day....just because...thanks for the post. I am having trouble with my password; I think the computer must have forgotten it, because surely I haven't...love the pics, can't wait to see you!
BOYD IS SO CUTE! I can't believe how big he is getting. i just want to squeeeeeze him!! you are the cutest familia ever. and i'm glad you'll see your parents SO soon!
So happy for you to have a routine in! I love it. Boyd is so handsome and Miles seems to feel the same way about being on his stomach...but he's 8 mos old! He doesn't like it and just learned how to roll over..he's kinda slow. You are looking so good these day jer...gorgeous. I hear you on the screaming thing too. Miles just developed this knack for screaming everytime he wants something and I try to ignore it but it drives me crazy! I am hoping to be able to come to Andrea's shower and I WANT TO SEE YOU!!!
I can't believe Boyd is already 5 months old. Seems like it was just yesterday i was looking at postings of his birth. Crazy! I am excited to see all of you on Saturday. It will be fun to catch up and maybe meet Boyd in person.
Dang he's cute! I'm so glad he's on a routine now! That's excellent. I'm also a bit jealous that you get to work out at home. It's funny how they forget things they used to be able to do. Peyton forgot she could roll over for awhile, too (I think it was around 4 or 5 months too). It's so cute. We have to gmail chat sometime so the babies and 4 legged babies can see each other.
Baby Boyd is just so cute, and such a big boy now - 5 months old, wow!!
This pregnancy so far has been different than with June's. During the first tri I was sick a lot, but the last month or so have been great for me. I am still tired, but besides that I feel great. You make having a boy look so much fun, so I am excited to have one for my own!!
